On August 8th, Wang Jigang, deputy secretary and deputy director of the Leading Party Members’ Group of the Standing Committee of the Shaoxing Municipal People’s Congress, visited Hailiang Nonferrous Smart Manufacturing Industrial Park (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Park’) to investigate and guide the construction of the project. Xuan Fangle, member of the Standing Committee of Zhuji Municipal Party Committee and executive vice mayor of Zhuji, Qian Jianrong, deputy director of Zhuji Municipal People’s Congress, Yang Lei, Secretary of the Party Committee of Diankou Town, accompanied them during the visit. These officials were warmly welcomed by Cao Jianguo, chairman and president of Hailiang Group, and Feng Weifeng, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Hailiang Group.
Wang Jigang inspected the first-phase construction progress of the Park, the overall planning of which was introduced by Cao Jianguo. Wang Jigang pointed out that Hailiang has ranked among the top 500 enterprises in the world, setting a good example for enterprises in Shaoxing. In the future, it should continue to maintain the development trend of “making progress while ensuring the stability, seeking excellence while making progress, and taking an upstanding start while growing stably”. It is also expected that Hailiang can accelerate the construction of key industrial project to ensure its early production; take advantage of big data to analyze and broaden the market; stimulate the driving force of innovation, accelerate the intelligent transformation and promote the development of the digital economy; enhance the attractiveness of the enterprise to attract more talents and technologies for continuous improvement of the business environment.
Hailiang has been engaging in charitable causes for a long time, and Hailiang Special Education Center was therefore established to make contributions to the rehabilitation service for exceptional children in China, and a happy center was also founded to help the elderly and orphans to find their home again. Wang Jigang fully affirmed Hailiang’s outstanding contribution to charity and community, and hoped it to maintain and carry forward this spirit in the future.
Cao Jianguo expressed gratitude to Wang Jigang and officials from Zhuji for their guidance, stressing that the company will do a good job in the implementation of various tasks to ensure the safe and efficient construction of Hailiang Nonferrous Smart Manufacturing Industrial Park.
A total of 6.128 billion CNY was invested in building the Park with a planned area of 1,000 acres. According to plan, the project will be implemented in three phases: the first phase is predicted to complete “Intelligent energy saving and emission reduction and land relocation and expansion project with an annual output of 400,000 tons of copper and copper alloy rods”; the second phase plans to launch “Construction project with an annual output of 150,000 tons of precision aluminum”; and the third phase is expected to implement “Up/downstream extension project and innovative experimental platform construction project in the field of nonferrous metal processing”. All the three phases are scheduled to be completed before December, 2022.
