In the afternoon of January 13, 2023, Zhejiang Hailiang International Trade Co., Ltd. held the 2022 annual sales summary and commendation meeting in the conference hall on the third floor of Hailiang's headquarters. In addition to the staff of the headquarters, colleagues stationed abroad in Thailand, Korea and Japan also participated in this meeting by web video.
Summary of Annual Work
The meeting started with a presentation of 2022 annual sales data analysis by Xu Haiying, maintenance director. The director spoke with data and explained to the participants the achievements and shortcomings of the company in FY2022 in a multi-dimensional manner.
In 2022, the third year after the beginning of the epidemic, with the international liberalization of epidemic prevention becoming mainstream, compared with the previous strict control measures of epidemic prevention in China. This has led to foreign trade customers having doubts about the ability of Chinese suppliers to provide stable supplies. Coupled with the weak consumption in the domestic market, it led to the pressure of foreign trade multiplying. How to complete the annual sales target of the group and the headquarters of the company is the real problem that Hailiang's foreign trade team needs to face in this whole year. Around the "incremental", the company took various measures and finally completed the sales task.
Outlook for Future Work
Later, Wu Changming, general manager of ITC, also spoke at the meeting. He emphasized that the achievement in 2022 could not be achieved without the efforts of all the team members, and also thanked all the share leaders and bases for their full assistance and cooperation.
He also focused on the analysis of the severe situation and complex situation facing Hailiang's foreign trade in 2023. The international trade team must be psychologically prepared to overcome difficulties, and stressed not to be blindly optimistic, but also not to respond negatively. In the new year, as long as we have the same goal and work together, we will be able to ride the wave and continue to write a new chapter.
I just finished a three-month business trip to the U.S. It was a great honor to have this opportunity as a newcomer. I have learned a lot about our U.S. base and our U.S. customers. It also makes me look forward to 2023 with great anticipation, and I expect myself to accelerate my growth as well.
Although I am a veteran salesman, I don't have many sales tips to share with everyone here. Just one thing, you must be "responsive" to customers. All emails are answered in a timely manner, and all orders are tracked in a timely manner. This is the most basic quality of our foreign trade sales.
From a salesman to a management position as a market manager, I am slowly adapting to this transition. From just keeping up with my own customers to actively managing the customers and salesmen in a market, both the thinking perspective and the way of doing things need to change. This also drives me to need to work more diligently and actively, and I will learn more from our excellent leaders and colleagues.
