In April 2022, Hailiang New Energy Materials issued its first recruitment notice, and He Tiancheng seized the opportunity that fate presented him. He emerged as one of the inaugural employees from a pool of numerous applicants.
"When I first arrived, the factory building was not yet completed. My colleagues and I familiarized ourselves with the blueprints daily. We visualized the layout of the entire plant based on the blueprint information, determining the location and purpose of each workshop," he remarked.
For He Tiancheng, who had spent over two years in the new energy sector, choosing Hailiang New Energy Materials as a platform for mutual growth was an opportunity to accumulate more work experiencem and gain extensive expertise. Standing on Hailiang's extensive platform allows him to broaden his horizons and venture further.
In the year and more since joining Hailiang New Energy Materials, He Tiancheng has been immersed daily in an atmosphere of shared growth. He senses that "everything is gradually improving, and this gives me great hope."

One word that best describes his workday is "fulfilling."
In addition to monitoring workshop production volumes and analyzing exceptional data, he needs to break down production figures to the team and individual levels, analyze exceptional data, maintain real-time control over equipment operations, address equipment issues, and create production plans based on customer demand, order volume, and delivery schedules. His role also involves efficient machine usage management to ensure the optimal performance of every piece of equipment.
Apart from these routine tasks, report analysis is a key focus for He Tiancheng before the end of each working day. By using report data to have a thorough understanding of the daily operation of the workshop, he can make adjustments in response to adverse data, thereby improving the production process.
Regarding personnel management, He Tiancheng has gradually formulated a management style that suits him best: "Eliminating the 'one-size-fits-all' mindset." To achieve efficient management of workshop personnel, he establishes various hierarchical positions such as foremen and group leaders, cascading responsibilities, and implementing precise management. This approach minimizes the likelihood of employees adopting the mentality that "it doesn't matter how much or how little work I do."
With over 500 days and nights spent growing together with Hailiang New Energy Materials, He Tiancheng's understanding of his role as a section supervisor has deepened, and his work has become even more proficient. He says, "Without the initial trials and persistence, we would not have the ease we enjoy today."
Initially, the stability of production in the A3 workshop was hard to guarantee, and at that time, more than half of He Tiancheng's team were new employees, creating considerable psychological pressure for him.
"The workshop's production output was low, and I often developed feelings of powerlessness, as if my daily efforts were directionless."
To quickly turn things around, he dedicated one hour every day to enhance the training of new employees. Over time, the copper foil production process gradually stabilized, and the quality of the copper foil continued to improve. The burden that weighed on He Tiancheng was gradually lifted.
This challenging experience, which once left He Tiancheng feeling lost and uncertain, has unknowingly transformed into a valuable asset in his life and a memorable memory.
Although He Tiancheng has been in the new energy materials industry for over three years, he still regards himself as a novice in the field. He acknowledges that continuous growth is essential for his future.
