Recently, a delegation led by Xiao Wei Ming, the Deputy Secretary-General of the National Development and Reform Commission, visited Gansu Hailiang New Energy Materials Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Hailiang New Energy Materials") to conduct a research study on the progress of the construction of the 150,000-ton high-performance copper foil project and the overall development of the company. Huang Youming, Executive Deputy General Manager of Gansu Hailiang New Energy Materials Co., Ltd., accompanied the delegation during the visit.
The delegation, led by Xiao Weiming, closely observe the copper foil production workshop, the laboratory, and the DCS room. They gained insights into the company's independent innovation capabilities, production capabilities, market operations, project progress, and were briefed on the company's developmental journey and future plans. Xiao Wei Ming expressed full recognition of the achievements made by Hailiang New Energy Materials in the field of new energy materials. He also highlighted the strategic importance of positioning Lanzhou New Area as a key national base for new materials industry development. He emphasized that the new materials industry is given a prominent role in fostering and strengthening strategic emerging industries. Xiao Weiming urged Hailiang New Energy Materials to leverage its locational advantages, focus on enhancing product competitiveness, and strive to become an influential leading enterprise in the new materials sector, making significant contributions to the high-quality development of the new materials industry in Lanzhou New Area.
Since its establishment in Lanzhou New Area in December 2021, Hailiang New Energy Materials has been in sync with the development trends of new energy materials. The company has expedited project construction, seized market opportunities, emphasized innovation-driven growth, and deepened its digitalization processes. With substantial support from the Lanzhou New Area government, Hailiang New Energy Materials has broken industry records. In just 18 months, the company successfully completed project construction and commenced production. It has also entered the supply chain of leading downstream enterprises. This achievement signifies its steady progress towards becoming an innovative enterprise leading the development of the new materials industry.
