The 2023 Shuibu Town "Cantonese Cuisine Chef" Chinese Specialty Dish Cooking Skills Competition is on recently, sponsored by the Taishan Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security and the People's Government of Shuibu Town, and organized by the Guangdong Culinary and Technical School.
Fifteen delegations and thirty chefs from the town level gathered for a "culinary showdown". The Guangdong Taishan Base delegation from Hailiang Group actively participated in the competition.
The dishes were diverse and creative, including "Colorful Omanthus Kylin", "Dragon and Fish Forever in Water", "Ox Lip Western Toast" and "Grain of Bullish Beef". The skillful hands of the chefs transformed the ingredients into delicious delicacies that made people drool, fully demonstrating the solid technical skills and pioneering spirit of " Cantonese Cuisine Chef ".
Filled with the aroma of food, the scene attracted many surrounding citizens. They couldn't help but take pictures of this rare "Chef Battle".
This cooking skills competition comprehensively tested the cooking skills of the contestants using high-quality ingredients from Taishan City, including eel, mandarin fish, and beef. The contestants were required to complete two designated dishes and one optional dish within 120 minutes.
After a fierce competition, the team representing Guangdong Hailiang won the Special Flavor award of this competition with their creations "Dragon Fish Forever in Water" and "Grain of Bullish Beef.
The relevant person in charge of the Taishan City Human Resources and Social Security Bureau stated that this competition has promoted Cantonese cuisine culture and provided talent support for the high-quality development of Taishan City's economy and various undertakings by building a platform for competing combining with Shuibu Town special eating habits with filial piety characteristics.
